Freedom from Sin Awaits God’s Children

This list may surprise many people, especially those who believe we are saved only by faith. The Bible specifically states that there are 21 parts to our salvation from sin. Here is the list, along with the passages that prove the statements. (These are in no particular order.)

1. God (1 Timothy 4:10)

2. The blood of Jesus (Romans 5:9)

3. The life of Jesus (Romans 5:10)

4. Mercy (Titus 3:5)

5. God’s word (James 1:21)

6. The Gospel (Romans 1:16)

7. Faith (Ephesians 2:8)

8. We save ourselves (Acts 2:40; 1 Peter 1:22; 1 John 3:3)

9. Hearing God’s word (Romans 10:17)

10. Confession of Christ (Romans 10:10)

11. Repentance (Luke 13:3-5; 2 Corinthians 7:10)

12. Baptism (1 Peter 3:21)

13. Provocation of others (Rom 11:14)

14. Identification of others with us (1 Corinthians 9:22)

15. Hope (Romans 8:24)

16. Paying close attention doctrine (1 Timothy 4:16)

17. Loss of self (Matthew 16:25)

18. Prayer (James 5:15-16)

19. Endurance (Matthew 24:13)

20. Work (Philippians 2:12)

21. Grace (Ephesians 2:5)

Obviously all of these things must be present in our lives for salvation. Did I miss any? Comment below.
